On Tuesday, August 11, Las Piñas Lone District Rep. Camille Villar donated RISO machines to the Department of Education-Schools Division Office of Las Piñas City which would be used to augment the capacity of schools as they shift to a new normal.
“Mahalaga ang papel ng mga eskwelahan sa ating mga mag-aaral sa panahon ng pandemya kaya’t ating minarapat na paigtingin pa ang ating suporta sa sektor ng edukasyon,” said Villar.
According to the congresswoman, the machines would be utilized for the printing of modular learning program materials of various schools in Las Piñas as they gear up for the school opening on August 24.
“Providing schools with adequate equipment and learning materials is an ardent task for officials, teachers and staff,” said Villar. Through our donations, we help our schools be fully equipped and teaching staff empowered.”
Over 100,000 total students are anticipated to have enrolled this school year with the new home study setup.
Present at the ceremony were Dr. Joel T. Torrecampo, DepEd Las Piñas schools division superintendent and principals of the different school districts of the city.
