Las Piñas City residents with their food packs from Rep. Camille Villar
THE Office of Las Piñas Lone District Rep. Camille Villar has conducted relief operations in the city in the aftermath of Typhoon “Ulysses” (international name: “Vamco”) on November 13.
Over 100 families, which included senior citizens, pregnant women and children, were evacuated at the onslaught of the typhoon that inundated low-lying areas and caused storm surges in coastal communities.
“We have been in close coordination with barangay officials to assess the impact of the typhoon and to aid the victims of this calamity,” Villar said.
Residents of Barangays Ilaya, Manuyo Uno, and Manuyo Dos have been given food packs. Other barangays will also get assistance.
“We have mobilized our staff and volunteers to help in the repacking of goods that will be distributed to the affected families and individuals,” the young congresswoman added.
